The origins of Bloemsma Van Breemen can be traced back to 1974, when customised hulls were built under the name Jachtwerf Bloemsma of Makkum. The company built a total of 136 complete hulls in steel and aluminum, as well as constructing superstructures for other yacht builders.
In 1997, Nico van Breemen’s technical installation company took over the operations and the experienced workforce. The renamed Bloemsma Van Breemen yard has since focused on building complete yachts, while continuing to offer aluminum work on a sub-contractual basis.
